Many see the Mistress as a kind of celebrity figure, a demigod almost. Her wealth and power are luring and being a part of her quest is something attractive for them.
Many stay on for this alone, few choose to leave.....many are fearful to leave and some are plain Combat Junkies.

Great lightening about what have become "next door girls" when they totally committed to the service of the Mistress ... So, they lost their personality and became nameless "Heels" (... SCUs) But, they each one became fanaticaly clannished, ready to follow their Mistress anywhere ... ORC implant surely scrambled their brain, but not only, ... they each one want to follow until the (their ?) end the Mistress, ...maybe for a promise of becaming rich, but surely in kind of masochistically ...
