Because outer web patrol units only really raise alarms, or act as Canary in the coal mine they typically get taken out with a loss of gear too.
SO rather than have expensive rifles be lost along with worthless combat units, they opt just to issue them with a side arm.
The experienced, well drilled sentry however receives a shot from an enemy unit who is attempting a silent elimination.
However she does not fall to the first shot, but instead goes to keep fighting.
They opt for the second shot, which does not drop her.
Then finally just full auto blasting her, taking her out, but also alerting the other Black Faction units.
Their mission failed, because the long time veteran BFC SCU wouldn't go down without a fight,

2022-01-09 17:37:01 +0000 UTCThe management of resources at Black Faction Corps always leaves me perplexed ! Why assign a sentry web guard tour to an experienced unit? It is recognized that "sentry webs" are dangerous to the unit which acts as a bait to be "eaten" to signal an intruder attack! So in the event of an attack, the web sentry is necessarily eliminated (and we understand Maitress Vanessa's choice not to put too much resources on these sentries ...) Unless the experienced unit came to the end of the contract and in this case, double the benefit for the Faction! No balance to pay and an attack foiled !
