Previously the guard duties and static sentry roles were performed by Standard Combat Units
The Mistress has employed the Light Utility units for Static Guard Duties. They are on a different contract than their combat counterparts and typically work in small numbers. Acting mainly as eyes and ears, calling support from auxiliary response teams.
So the LU carry a pistol or anything else they are configured with.
They do not have any combat training what so ever
and are paid about half of what a contracted Combat unit is paid.
Rush recruitment, low standards for entry and just 4 days of training, they are also off ORC.
Why off ORC? They are more likely to call for help.
