Lone Outdoor Patrol Unit Expended

The site of a former dam in the outer plays host to the building of a Black Faction Sector. More and more Standards are moving in from surplus in the Operational Sectors and HQ. Vanessas requests for more resources are being heard and the long, slow, protracted development of profit yielding interests in the outer are coming together.

Unlike the operational sectors however, much of the Outers inhabitants can move on the surface. Years of skills, wayfinding and path making have made this common.

SCUs however are not well versed in outdoor operations. Set routes and paths must be followed for falling into liquid earth is highly likely. The requirement to patrol the outdoors is not exactly mission critical however The Mistress and Mistress Vanessa understand the importance of presence.

Much of the outer hasn't come across Black Faction, or the other factions before.

Rumours spread about them however.

"If you're not Black Faction or affiliated with them, they shoot you on site! No Questions asked"

"Not one of them will hesitate to take you out"

"all of them are willing to sacrifice themselves for the Mistress"

"When they want something they just flood the area with Combat Units and they shoot everything in sight"

Mistress Vanessa knows the power of psychology on them, the lone Standard Combat Units seem weak and easy to take out.....which they are.

In doing so the inhabitants of the outer get a glimpse to what they're dealing with.

The Standards never run away.

The Standards stay and fight right until the end.

They fight hard too.

When they're expended, they take it strong and go down strong.
