The inter-fragment forces of KTS are a complete different beast to the KTS of Fragment Prime (this fragment).

KTS in this fragment consists of elite highly trained units for security assignments. The interfragmentary force is a robust combined role fighting force.

Gladiatrixes, Drop Troopers, Assault Units and Sentrys all have a role to play.

But how did this develop you ask?

In planning their territorial expansion KTS engaged the assistance of Consultants.

From an Consultant.

When I was in command of a sector we focused mainly on operations and security of those operations. The taking of key locations surrounding our operational area was a necessary evil. It costed Units in taking it, it costs units in holding it.

For every enemy unit holding you need 2.3 units attacking. Then you need to garrison the place which dips into your available pool of combatants especially just with Standardised type units.

Having a hard hitting assault force, typically elite type units that are able to liquidate an enemy garrison with little to no expenditures allows for redeployment.

But you can't just hold elite units at a site to defend the inevitable reatake.

This is why you need to consider a more expendable type combat units in large numbers ready to drop into sentry or garrison type roles.

They'll always be useful in giving the enemy something to clean up to take it, sapping more of their resources.
