Or are they just willful participants in a pseudo anarcho capitalist free market free for all where people are assets to be expended?
Or are they just doing a job?
I think that something bland cut like "Emperor or queen" ruling people and forcing is not a reflection of our social condition.
I think its choice, they choose to be what they are.

All the more reason to invest in shares. Money invested reaps in more money. Each unit expended is a contract not paid for and money in the bank for share holders! A win, win with no down side!

We may recoil against the sharp contrast this presents to our own subjective understanding of moral doctrine, but must accept that these cannot be fully separated from the wider context of economic and social pressures which contributed to the development of this environment. Those SCUs were toast.
