In house engineers have been with Black Faction since operations began. With numerous complex systems to maintain, these women are basically "handy-women" who get everything back up and running when they go down. Pneumatics, Hydraulics, electronics, data centres, ventilation, you name it, these women can get much of those things working. They are rare however. Finding someone to throw on a standard uniform and shoot at people is easy. But finding someone who can change out a solenoid, let alone figure out what was wrong in the first place is a whole different kettle of fish. Engineers are normally escorted under very heavy armed guard to their location of work, with reco-packs, rescue transports and back up units ready to move in to get them out. In the whole of Black Faction there is an estimated 26 engineers, with the very dangerous work being given to contract companies who may or may not procure Sublets to guard them.
But in a company insanely driven by profit, with crumbling infrastructure, who relies almost exclusively on ambitious, adventurous young women to get their own way, its no wonder they haven't invested more into recruiting, training and maintaining a healthy number of engineers to keep their operation going.
