Those left were repurposed into other roles.
In a massive company under massive duress, their staple Standards still do the work.
Even that work is becoming more and more specific to combat only.
Temporary contract units are taking over trivial non direct combat roles.
Logistics units are guarding the shipments and movements of equipment's
Private contractors (Starcorp) take over the extreme "fodder" combat along with specialised tasks.
Is Black Faction going through a Metamorphosis?
Is it adapting to external stresses?

2024-06-03 09:29:05 +0000 UTCElites were the pride of the BFC for a long while - but the time it takes to train them combined with the logistical nightmare of replacing lost units makes them an impractical tool for all but the most complex missions Since only a high-ranking officer can authorise their deployment - the paperwork alone carries a significant time-cost! Elites still have their place - but until BFC upgrades their mortality software to take their higher utilisation premium into consideration - it may be too long a wait for this one before her next skirm - maybe she should consider a secondment to Starcorp in the meantime?
