Keep the voice acting?

2018-01-25 12:42:14 +0000 UTCFull voice acting would be a huge investment of resources that I don't think makes sense for an independent game of this nature. Not to mention that since some of these characters already have existing voices from their own shows, it could wind up being distracting or offputting when the voices don't match up. Even in a game like Snow Daze I'm not sure full voice acting was worth it, and that game had more funding, a larger team, and original characters who didn't have previously established voices that had to be matched.

However i would rather it go the Destiny Original Sin route, in that first release the game maybe with maybe a bit voice acting here and there, nut mainly it´s all text and after that go full voice acting and release and update implementing it.

But that being said-- I generally find partially-implemented voice acting to be distracting and break immersion. Full voice acting, on the other hand, is awesome and enjoyable. I'd suggest you focus on finishing the game, then add the voice acting afterwards.
