January update, I'm alive!

Woah, it's already been a month? That's crazy, January flew by for me. So, how are you all? How's 2019 treating you? Gotta say, I'm filled with renewed vigor and motivation, so all in all, I'm doing pretty well! Progress on Paprika Trainer is going a lot faster than originally planned, which is great.

What I've been working on:

Here's a small tiny preview of what I've been working on:

As you might have guessed, a infiltration game system like this takes time. And of course I have to make sure that all the art matches and fits together for all three girls. That said, it's going really well and I can't wait for you guys to try it in the future.

When will the first playable version be available?

Right... the awkward moment. The truth is, that it won't be available anytime soon. With Orange Trainer, most of the basic mechanics were already in, but Paprika Trainer still has to be made from scrap. Right now I'm focusing on getting those sorted. Once all of that is done, I can start adding story, missions, etc.

Reward cards(?)

Many new ideas have been going around my head and there's one that I'd really like to discuss with you all. I want to introduce reward codes for Patrons, that can be used to unlock ingame items / titles / poses and more (kinda like lootboxes). But I'm still pondering if I want to make the rewards from these codes random or have everyone receive the same items (kinda like a reward bundle). Let me know what you think about that.

What have I been playing

So  last month I talked about Paladins (which I still love), but I just discovered Subnautica and it is amazing. Normally survival type games don't really interest me, but this one has kept me hooked. It has an intriguing story, that's slowly spoon fed to you as you play and there's nothing quite as scary as going into an underwater ravine that's pitch and pitch black, hoping you don't run into any big sea monsters.

I will try updating you a bit more often from here on out. Maybe an update each week. Thank you all for

January update, I'm alive!

Some extra reward for patrons is fine. But let's not make it randomized / lootboxes. That being said. I like the artstyle a lot. It fits the show. Don't worry about not having a playable version any time soon. I rather have you working on the game. Instead of you spending a lot of time getting a new version working every two months.

Ursarkar

Okay, thanks for the feedback everyone! I'll keep it in mind for the game!

Exiscoming

The little preview of the game looks great and it's getting me pretty hyped for the game. As for the rewards I'm not a fan of having codes to unlock certain content. I would rather not have costumes, items, and poses locked behind a code but rather just have it unlocked through playing the game. It usually becomes a hassle to have to remember a code if I decide to come back and play a game after a while and it would be even worse if there are a list of codes that I would have to write down to get every item on a new playthrough. If you do decide to use codes though please do not randomize the items. I feel the lootbox mechanic does not belong in a game like this. Just having the code unlock the same thing for everyone would be fine.

I do not like lootboxing too much if then rather a code for patrons with which you can unlock an extra shop and you can buy things there, if you want to have some of them.

Mathias Vahlefeld

I don't have a problem with different tiers getting extra stuff as long as it's all the same stuff. No randomisation.

Mr That Guy

Please for the love of everything do not put in anything like lootboxes, those things are cancerous.

Really happy to see things are going the way you want! The art and animation look pretty great so far and honestly I can't wait to see more! Really excited to see the first playable version of the game. Weekly news that you mentioned can be fun and help us waiting for the game so yeah I'd totaly be down for that.
