Added 2022-02-27 15:39:57 +0000 UTCHello Patrons, new and old! I wanted to make a separate post in light of the recent censoring of Facing the Sun on Webtoon, and the growth in here due to that.
I really didn’t expect the support that found me when the last episode was removed. I thought I’d post an episode to make sure people knew what happened, then pick myself out of the mud on my own and drag myself to the next week. But instead I found many, many people helping me up, brushing me off, and cheering for me as I went on. It was humbling; it helped me see that I have people who care, who want FTS to continue, who care if it exists or not. It’s easy to get tunnel vision in my work, to enter a certain mindframe all month where I fall into the dark and forget how many people around me want me to land on my feet.
So, thank you so much for being here. I never want to make changes to Facing the Sun because of a platform; I refused to change it for Originals, and I’ll continue that stubbornness. I want Facing the Sun to be honest, in every way, in all facets. If that gets me in trouble with a platform, so be it. I’ll find another door. You all have let me know you have my back. I hope you know I will not take that for granted.
