Taylor, depersonalization became my best friend when reading the manga lmao. Granted it has been a while since this came out so I have had time to process it, but at one point the story just became so NOT funny that all we could do was laugh at it because we just couldn't believe the turn the story took and were just left dumbfounded. Regardless, still one of my top favorite animes of all time because I just love pain apparently.

I hate him 😭 I just like what Gege is doing here. 1️⃣ He's been getting stronger, more creative, and of course, growing his pool of cursed energy with time and with each fight (he is special grade after all). He's probably gotten better at expending cursed energy too. Like, he's figured out how to keep cursed energy expenditure down to a minimum to transfigure people into pocket size. 2️⃣ If I'm not mistaken, it's never said he has to KEEP his hands in CONTACT on a person's body to transfigure them. Just touch. Him doing that to Kugisaki was enough to give him the desired result. 3️⃣ When he was talking about touching Nanami and almost killing him, he was talking about that very first time they fought in the sewers. Nanami guarded his soul with cursed energy (which was a surprise to Mahito and shows Nanami's strength and exp as a first-grade jujutsu sorcerer) and was able to thwart Mahito that one and only time. This time, he purposefully exploded Nanami's top half by transfiguring it super-fast. He's out to cause major damage to Yuji's mental fortitude.

2023-12-01 01:16:36 +0000 UTCidk what to tell you about the pacing this episode was based on 3 chapters the first 2 based on the fight, where it ended was mahito touching nobara face. can you imagine the cliffhanger. the 3rd chapter was the flash back and her face turning which they mostly censored cause they had the front view in the chapter. but i dont mind fumi being a one off device to tell the story, how many times doo we have to see a character narate their own pre death flashbacks

Feels like Walking Dead syndrome where they keep killing off characters for shock value and it starts to get tiresome. Not a fan of the pacing in this episode either, they spent about 12 whole minutes on the flashbacks which didn't add much to her character. I was riding on hopium thinking that some twist would happen since they kept dragging on the flashback, but nope. Flashback to Saori is fine since they covered her already in S1, but to introduce Fumi and not really show anything new or interesting was unnecessary imo.
