2024-02-19 20:34:29 +0000 UTCNow that I'm seeing the manga covers up close in the anime (harder to see in the manga), yeah that's 100% a reference to "kimi ni todoke". IT LOOKS JUST LIKE THEM!

2024-02-19 04:55:52 +0000 UTCIt's speculated that the mysterious manga that they were talking about is a reference to a very popular shoujo/romance manga/anime from the early 2000s/10s. It's called "Kimi ni todoke" or "From me to you". A classic, one of the first few animes I ever watched, and one of my favorite shoujo/romcoms TO THIS DAY (and i watched/read ALOT). It had two anime seasons and a live action movie back then. Recently they rebooted with a live action SERIES and I hear they are about to reboot the anime too! I suggest you guys watch it. (I recommend the older version, as that's still a GEM, but I have hope for the new one too!)(lol, the plot isn't like how they explained it in undead tho, that was its own thing) The undead unluck author is most likely a fan of it, lol.

2024-02-19 04:47:13 +0000 UTCYeah could’ve definitely been better worded for both the Anime and Manga

2024-02-19 04:34:15 +0000 UTCtranslation in the manga was the same way actually. In the time it takes to read it in the anime i can get why there's confusion tho

2024-02-19 04:16:20 +0000 UTCDefinitely NOT chapter 40 lmao, I went to check if that was right and it's chapter 38.

2024-02-19 04:11:30 +0000 UTCOh I think you’re thinking of Comic Girls, came out in 2018

2024-02-19 04:00:13 +0000 UTCNice! I was actually thinking of a more recent one, came out like 3-4 years ago and it was a predominantly woman cast.

2024-02-19 03:58:05 +0000 UTCSherm, the anime you were talking about that shows how manga is made is called Bakuman. I hope yall can react to it one day
Peter Jajou
2024-02-19 03:49:41 +0000 UTCOkay because they COMPLELTELY messed up the translation on the subs for the very last bit, Fuuko didn't lose any memories, it was everyone who were in the Shueisha's headquaters memories of Fuuko and Andy that were erased. I've seen multiple people get confused because of it
Tearonex
2024-02-19 03:43:45 +0000 UTCNo, I'm totally with you on it being annoying 100%
Tearonex
2024-02-19 03:37:43 +0000 UTCOh yeah I understand that but it’s the same as with (Early OP spoilers) Oda letting Pel survive in alabasta because it was just after 9/11 Yes it makes sense but it doesn’t mean it’s not annoying since it butchers such a good scene
MasonSage04
2024-02-19 03:31:50 +0000 UTCThe change in the scene for the anime takes away the first moment in which Fuuko proves she's capable without Andy to coming in to save her, but do to certain events (I believe the Kyoto Animation tragedy was cited) it was changed, so it's kinda hard to fault them for the change
Tearonex
2024-02-19 03:29:03 +0000 UTCYou should check out chapter 38 of the manga (only the first half) because the anime has RUINED a scene that the fan base loves which is the part where Fuuko gets the lady to give her the manuscript
