So basically the entire time I was reading I was expecting that, but it just felt like the author forgot. She came back and plays a role in the sequel, so that's something, it was just a bit disappointing to have that interesting character never get used again.

2025-02-23 05:03:46 +0000 UTCI will NEVER forgive Solo Leveling for how badly it underutilizes Esil. She's so much fun and was so adorable in the manhwa, yet they do basically nothing with her. She's here for just this arc and then I think very briefly reappears towards the end. Such a horrible waste of a great character. Apparently, the sequel series uses her more, but I haven't read that as I just kinda lost interest as Solo Leveling kept dragging on. At some point you just get tired of a power fantasy story, no matter how pretty it looks. I read the epilogue for a bit, but just never felt a strong desire to keep going.
