Analysis of 'The Office' script

Hey guys! This morning I've finished a potential video about 'The Office, which I'd like to record for release this weekend. Because it's going to be a little rushed, I would love as many eyes on this as possible. THANKS FOR ANY FEEDBACK!

I've never seen the Office itself, just its spin offs. So I understand the appeal of growing with these characters on television and how it transformative it must have been for normal sitcom watchers at the time. Your script helps highlight that

This looks pretty good to me! Plus it's really cool to see a view of Michael I really agree with, and is important to me. Maybe it's just my autistic hang ups talking, but to me David Brent (and by extension, Season 1 Michael) felt like a character who gave us an excuse to laugh at the r slur without having to say that they're an r slur—Gervais doesn't exactly have a good track record there. Michael felt more like a person who was just making social missteps out of misguided motivation. He feels a lot less like a caricature to me.

Other episodes in which Michael Scott’s deep desire to be loved comes to focus: Scott’s Tots (Michael wants deeply to believe he can be a rich, successful guy who funds children’s dreams) The episode where we watch a show where Michael appears as a kid and says that he wants 100 children when he grows up so he can have friends I see Dinner Party as less of a cry for help but another extension of Michael wanting to be loved: he wants to be the guy with a loving wife and friends that he can have a nice dinner with and he tries desperately to force that to happen, but the truth is he’s in an abusive relationship and the people who he wants to be his friends aren’t and the people who are there who want to be there are just trying to suck up to him.
