Keyboard config in Mongirl Sexpedition
Added 2021-06-14 14:37:25 +0000 UTCFrom v0.27 MGS supports custom keyboard configuration. You can find the new button in the global config menu. Since I had only 4 symbols to provide a description on the visual scheme for remapping, I decided to make a small FAQ post to help players decipher what’s what. Some functions can be better worded, and I’ll update this feature later.
To keep it simple, I’ll use short description (text you’ll see on the keyboard image) – function (stuff you’ll see if you want to remap it) – full description (what it does).
vchar – Character Visible – Show/hide main character’s sprite.
Dash – Dash – Hold for switching between running and walking. You can enable always running in the global menu, but don’t forget that running in combat zones will consume your stamina.
uitm – Use Item – Use the active item in the combat zone.
uskl – Use Skill – Use the active skill in the combat zone.
atck – Attack – Swing with currently equipped melee weapon.
grd – Guard – Raise the shield. Remember, it blocks only from the front and you can change facing by direction buttons while holding the guard button.
sitm – Select Item – Select active item for combat zones.
sskl – Select Skill – Select active skill for combat zones.
OK – OK / Talk – Your standard confirm button.
X – Cancel / Menu – Your standard cancel button. If there’s no active choice, hitting it will call the menu.
lamp - Maggie's lamp - Shortcut for using Maggie's lamp.
foxc - Kitsune crystal - Shortcut for recall scrolls and kitsune crystal.
Directional arrows are just directional arrows, nothing fancy here.
Left mouse button serves as OK / Talk button and the right one as Cancel / Menu button. These aren’t remappable, but this FAQ wouldn’t be full without mentioning them.
If I will change anything in the control scheme, I’ll update this post too.
