In terms of edgy books about an eldritch Santa's mistress I think the truth about santa: an apocalyptic Christmas tale is a legitimately funny and interesting take on the idea that balanced edginess with readability quite well.

On the Dionysus/Jesus thing its actually not a bad parallel to draw as a lot of Dionysus early mythology revolved around death and rebirth. He was more a god of madness initially and while wine was always an improtant aspect of his worship he didn't really gain the modern "party bro" interpretation until the Hellenistic Age when all these new rich kings were like "Damn that Cult of Dionysus we've been opressing for centuries sure throws the best fucking parties"
