Personally, I would have mentioned Rebecca in the best category to avoid anything Fifty Shades (Hitchcock over garbage) and added Dracula to the worst list since you found the adaptation “offensive.“

Oh, Coraline? No way. I kinda hate the boy character, he spoiled ALL movie to me. I am a fan of the book, in which Coraline overcomes everything BY HERSELF, with her own quick thinking and planning! She never was a damsel in distress, and the insistence of her being saved at the finale spoiled everything for me. That story did not need a n obligatory male character to save our heroine and take her achievements and make her look stupid. :(

I think Charlie and the chocolate factory should have had an honorable mention. I know they added that whole side plot with Wonka's dad, but i think ts notable that Dom couldn't think of a single thing from the book that wasn't in the film.

How long have I been subscribed that I remember your LiA for Ender's Game

Am I the only one who thought the question about best/worse adaptation meant the LiA, not the adaptation itself?

I might be mistaken but I think Dom did do a LiA on that.

I would love to watch your take on Ender's game if at all possible :)

I really liked this! Nostalgia but also fun to compare the adaptations to each other when we usually just consider then alone. Side note, I listened to the end as I usually do and it's *still* strange hearing "my goodness the Dom, I can't do that!" what with the "the" being gone for so long now. Are you planning to re-record those sometime when your voice is better?

In the book's defense, while there actions are the same, the attitudes and reasoning for doing things is different in the book.

I was thinking completly differently when I put Ella Enchanted in the good column. I think it's a good adaptation of Cinderella , not the Ella book.

Ironically, learning that Hunger Games is a really accurate adaption just makes me absolutely certain that I will never read the books. I HATED the first movie. It seemed great, right up until the Games actually started, and every single participant suddenly turned into a completely braindead moron. About 20 minutes into the Games, The Hunger Games earned the dubious reputation of being only the second film I've ever walked out of the theater from. The first one being Traffic, though amusingly, I don't remember *why* didn't like that one. The Hunger Games doesn't have that going for it, though.

Recently, I was discussing Rebecca on Tumblr. That made me re-watch your video about the movie. I'm a little surprised it didn't make the top 10 good adaptations, but I don't know what it would have replaced, so I'm not upset.

I love your inclusion of, and explanation for, the Worst List spot for Starship Troopers. It's such a weird adaptation, seeing as it was a *satire* of the book, rather than an adaptation per se.
