I’m drunk as shit and thought it was me lol. Had to read everyone’s comments. I was so confused from me trying to align the times to people talking about they have access to it on Disney+ lol. I watch it on Hulu as well and mine is 59 minutes 44 seconds. I saw that they had a glitch on theirs but for those that have it on Amazon is that the full episode?

Man I just gave up and watched it without their reaction to jog my memory and listened to their recap after. Hopefully, the rest of the season is not like this. I will chip in for them to just buy the complete season on Prime for 19.95. What mess Hulu caused.

The rest of season 4 matches up fine with the minutes of the episodes I have in my iTunes complete series bundle and google. Just episode 1. But…there are serious edits in seasons 6 and 7. One episode in 5 has an edit.

I figured out the Hulu glitch. Did it 4 times. If you play near the end of the previous episode 3-13, let it end, and trigger into the start of next episode 4-1, it will give you the full 59 minute episode. If you just come and start watching the new episode 4-1 fresh, it gives you the edited version. Don’t know if this works for the upcoming edited versions but it definitely works here for 4-1.

The “She’s just an old lady” line is so powerful because you can tell that because of the club that’s what Gemma became to Jax overtime. Of course he loves her and we know that’s his mom, but her closeness to the club makes it impossible for her to be his mom so to him she’s just Clay’s old lady. Looking back I definitely forgot about that line because it’s very important to the whole series.

I bought the entire series on Digital HD from iTunes for like $35 back before Disney purchased Fox/FX and put the FX stuff on Hulu. It’s on iTunes or you can grab the entire series on Prime Video on digital hd. No physical media needed. Hulu really chops up big parts of upcoming seasons badly. Amazon Prime doesn’t do a complete series set though for a discount like iTunes. iTunes you can watch on Apple TV+ app if not on Apple TV 4K box.

My version is about an hour long, syncing was hell but i enjoyed the episode! Ive seen it so many times i just stopped trying to sync and just watched you goys

I’m glad I’m not the only one that was really disappointed—— I have been looking forward to seeing Nik’s reaction to that since early days! Plus it’s such defining moment. It’s not too dramatic to say it’s the foundational scene for the rest of the show.

The proposal scene was disappointing because it was chopped up so bad. It’s the most beautiful scene with amazing dialogue. One of my favourites. They left out heaps especially Jax comparing himself to JT. How he really feels about Gemma & Clay’s reaction. Why he wants out. But most importantly… baring his feelings to Tara. His love for his family. It was a mess. 😩

Finished. It’s true. Sucks. Impossible. Frustrating😞not enjoyable.—- Fyi Steven, as an editor, you shave. Cut seconds where you can. Most scenes missing 10-50+ seconds; reorganized. You can’t sync. Youtube likely question: 1) Cut plot of cops following the guys and tying them upon side of road. 2) Piney knows about letters. Why you don’t talk about those or react. 3) proposal scene was 🙃(been looking forward to Nikki seeing that since s1😢) 4) convo with the Fed gone — only couple scenes lined up. I’ll look up run times and send to you.

Man I want to buy you guys the box sets because this was just crazy. So many scenes cut. Hulu left out heaps, definitely some key moments too that are important. I was outta the loop pretty much the whole episode watching along with you guys… it was really hard to be in sync. I felt bad you guys are missing out. I watch on Disney+ in Australia. The episode says it’s 51 mins.

I tried watching along but the version you are watching is missing entire scenes throughout, I lost sync multiple times and then could just not figure out where you were up to, I gave up. If you use a VPN you can watch the full versions on Disney+ (The New Zealand Disney+ has SOA and probably other countries too). I’m worried the whole season is going to be like this and I’ll have to just wait for the YouTube reactions 😓

I watch it on Hulu, but nothing was cut from mine. Maybe it's a regional thing? Nikki and Steven's version of this ep had a couple scenes cut that were in mine. Strange.

Agreed. I watch it on Hulu as well, and just double checked. Right after the opening credits finish, they show everyone waiting outside the clubhouse. Piney and Tara talk about “history being dead, and it’s gotta stay that way”. Then there is an interaction between Tara and Gemma, and Gemma tells Tara she is proud of her for holding down the fort while Jax was inside. It all happened just before the club rides in to the parking lot.

Wow, Hulu cut out almost 15 min worth of scenes. I'm watching my purchased seasons from Vudu and my episode is about 1 hour. I have never noticed much of a difference from when you've watched seasons 1 through 3, but this episode was cut up so much I was constantly pausing your reaction video to try to catch up... but it got so bad that I could not sync back up to continue watching along.

Yeah getting synced up with this episode was a nightmare lol. So many scenes was cut out from the version you guys watched apparently. The entire highway altercation between SAMCRO and the new Charming PD wasn't even in there. Literally seemed like at the end or between every scene something was cut out.

The version I have was desynced horribly with theirs. Normally its just been a few seconds difference, but here its all over the place. So it's not just Austin. I've seen others mention the scene cuts as well. It's not their fault ofc, it's Hulu's.

Also noticed what Austin said about some scenes being cut by Hulu. I was also watching on Hulu and didn't have my scenes cut. My version on Hulu was 58 minutes long, not including the credits, and ya'lls stopped at around 44 minutes. Love the reactions but Hulu is being crazy

Just did some research and it seems as though hulu cuts alot of scenes out from sons of anarchy, especially some pretty important ones in seasons 6 and 7. I would highly recommend switching to disney+ for streaming this as they have the entire uncut episodes. However thats just my opinion and you're free to do as you please.

Maybe the hulu version has some cut content. Very strange as this is the only episode ive noticed it in. For example before the boys pull up to the clubhouse for the first time piney says to tara "historys dead sweetheart, it has to stay that way" kind of an important scene to cut out in my opinion.

Idk if it's an editing error but there seem to be alot of scenes missing from this upload. Piney and tara + gemma and tara talking before the guys pull up from jail, and when the new sherrif is talking to linc potter. Your episode timer ends around 45 mins but the episode is almost 49 mins long.
