2024-06-28 23:24:32 +0000 UTCYes! The bending the knee and presenting the crown was so emo. Not sure why this season isn’t near as strong for me. Lack of gravitas. paddy being gone and everyone split up, it feels lacking. Not much is happening. Tom, aka Aegon is acting his way to an Emmy nom. He is about it. Daemon sidelined sucks the juice out. Some of it is editing errors, that break up emotion of scenes. I think losing Miguel as a director hurt. But yes the writers strike was on, maybe that prevented some better crafted episodes. The intensity is not there. Side characters have no stage presence. Tyrion and Cersei could drink wine and be totally enthralling. But something seriously lacking.
