I also knew next to nothing about the event before watching, and I'm glad that I am more educated. Just like another comment suggested, would you be willing to react to When They See Us at some point? It's VERY different but just as challenging to watch in my opinion. I would completely understand if you wouldn't want to tackle it.

2019-07-11 13:32:21 +0000 UTCYep, this was the tough one. When I watched it, I turned to my husband and said “Oh God, they’re going to show it aren’t they” and they did. I’ve heard it was much worse with the animals in real life. I just can’t even imagine. The whole thing is a complete tragedy. One food for thought. We’ve been watching all these moon landing programs from the early 60’s up to 69 when they landed. The average age of all the senior engineers and all those people you see manning the monitors at Mission Control is under 30 years old. Things were different back then and it wasn’t just Russia trusting these high stress jobs to what we think of as too young to be in charge. Just for a little perspective.

In a way the show creators wanted us to understand the crudeness of the task at hand from the point of view of not knowing what is ahead to come. Great reaction as usual guys, thanks for the great effort you put into this channel! May I suggest you react to "When They See Us"?

He had maybe 3 lines of dialogue, but used his face/posture to convey the total horror & trauma of his job with the animals. Acting without words this effectively can't be easy. At the start he's a clean-cut kid who refuses a drink & doesn't smoke; at the end he's doing both in the daytime, looks as hardened as the 2 soldiers he works with. Shout out to the amazing subscriber base for this channel too. So many viewers genuinely worried for Nikki, which is just awesome. FWIW I don't watch to see Nikki cry at all. Here for the comedy gold like "OMG THIS IS ABSOLUTE INSANITY", "JON SNUUUUH", "I need that on a poster!", "BURN IT DOWN", and Nikki's hilarious eye-rolls & mind explosions. #HESABARATHEON #BallTea

The first sequence being an older woman, and her horrific traumatized life, so effective. I imagined my grandmother. It being Pyp (Jon's best friend from The Watch) who died next to Sam, during battle, Watchers on the Wall—made that even more personal. I just saw Pyp, sweet Pyp having to make that choice.
