Also, I thought Baron Zemo got a good deal out of this, if he was going from a Berlin prison to a Wakanda prison. Then I realized that the Raft is that prison for powered individuals from Civil War... yikes.

There is not now, nor has there ever been a triple recipient of the Medal of Honor... there have been nineteen double recipients, the last instance being Smedley Butler in 1914 and 1915 (and the Medal of Honor used to be given out quite a bit more often, if you go back a century). It's a big stretch to believe that the US would award it three times to the same soldier, today. It also blows my mind that they would ever consider giving him an other than honorable (OTH) discharge with no benefits, given the effect that adrenaline and trauma can have on an experienced soldier, and the very recent loss of his best friend. I'm not trying to take John Walker's side here, or justify his actions in any way. I'm merely stating that the Medal of Honor is... being misrepresented, to an extent.
