Great episode the guy playing Teach was I Vikings he is the one that was Ubbe in the last season, can't remember the character name but the big guy with the beard that told them about the new world. I can't wait for you find out his character name in this show, and once again a great reaction.

2021-08-19 20:42:00 +0000 UTCIt's heartbreaking on rewatches when Miranda tells Eleanor that none of Flint's demons look or sound like her because you know the next season she will be the ghost haunting him. Just, chef's kiss to the show. There is so much foreshadowing I see on repeat viewings.

2021-08-19 16:51:53 +0000 UTCFlint alone, tied to the helm, battling a hurricane by himself is the most Flint thing ever. The visuals of this episode are stunning but so are the sounds of it. The howling winds, the waves and the groans of the ship. Muldoon drowning is heartbreaking. Teach is the coolest. He's very old school, he gives me "The Godfather" vibes. Woodes Rogers is the new governor and I hate him. 🤣 He is a colonizer to the core.

But a lot of other things are just common sense. Sometimes they just answer the questions you were asking, they kill the guy you wanted to see killed, they blow up the thing you wanted to see blown up. Sometimes just giving the audience what they want when they want it IS effective storytelling.

2021-08-19 05:39:27 +0000 UTCThanks for the early upload guys! The show’s writing is so often praised we sometimes forget how great technically it is. Those storm scenes were insane. But yes having said that it’s so interesting how they’ve interwoven the Teach, Vane and Eleanor storylines. Jack is the intern trying to impress his boss the moment Teach walks in haha. The progression from Miranda telling Eleanor back in s2 none of the torments that haunt Flint look or sound like her to what’s haunting Flint now, as you guys keep saying this show is so good!
