I’m so fucking sad I only have a few episodes left. I will 100% rewatch it immediately after I’m done. It is incredible.

2021-10-09 05:24:05 +0000 UTCLove the evolution in Flint from s3 up till now. It's interesting comparing his demeanour when confronting Underhill and his wife with the opening in s3. However I've always found it blurry figuring out when the change started to take place. Was it around the time he spent on the maroon island and Silver talking him out of his dark state of mind? Or was it more of a gradual natural progression so to speak? ps great call on the empty chair! Never noticed it until now. The rewatch value on this show is incredible

2021-10-08 02:23:26 +0000 UTCI think you guys are both kind of right. From that convo Jack and Teach came to the conclusion that Vane probably would've wanted them to focus on the war. However they are being played by Rogers too as he's just a decoy and ironically should focus on Eleanor as she's the one actually going to seek help. This was just a perfect storm for Billy to finally snap. Whilst I admire his loyalty to his men, his hatred for Flint has blinded him to their overall goal. Speaking of Jack and Teach, their scene never ceases to mesmerise me - I just get completely lost in Teach's story.

2021-10-08 01:58:50 +0000 UTCI'm guessing the bird from the Vane story was an albatross. Those suckers have like 10-foot wingspans.

2021-10-08 01:56:06 +0000 UTC"Dammit, Billy!" was everyone's response to him this episode. He's like a soldier who has been at war for too long. He's lost sight of the big picture. Meanwhile, Flint is the most rational and sane he's been since the flashbacks. Madi is the greatest. I can't express how much I love the Flint & Madi scenes this season. Jack & Teach reminiscing about Vane with an empty chair between them is such great framing for the scene. On a shallow note, Billy was almost bigger than the horse he was riding. 😂
