Watch Episode 6 as I type lol. Can't help it but I'll watch it again. With you. White head is back. I do remember him from Rebels. Dark Vadar and Little Leia steal the show. Deborah Chow has come a long way from stand up comedy to having her own TV show only to get cancelled and now she's directing Star Wars shows. Total boss. Deborah Chow had to find out in a newspaper that her show was cancelled. This was a good series and it sucks it's ending already. Too short.

2022-06-22 07:37:07 +0000 UTCI mean there are plenty of things that Obi-Wan could be doing on Tatooine that would be interesting but they couldn't come up with it and instead they had to take him off planet, which I've said a few times I don't mind for the sake of the story, and build incredibly close relationship and adventure with Leia... that really messes with canon in all reality. The message to General Kenobi and her reaction to knowing Ben is there with Luke and her reaction to his death does not show me a very deep bond where Kenobi saved her live over and over as a child. If Star Wars, really the first of it's kind on the big screen, debuted in 1977 was shown today, of course it wouldn't hold up. If the story was told with today's technology, I'm sure it'd be awesome and do really well... it'd probably look like Dune. Don't think that's much of a debate. Which inconsistencies are you speaking of from the OT? I had this conversation on stream the other day and didn't get many good examples of that. There's is a ton of questionable, beyond convenient writing in Kenobi. That said, there's a lot good and a lot bad and overall, to this point I am enjoying it. -S

2022-06-18 08:58:30 +0000 UTCThey dance around the canon pretty damn good. I guess people wanted a show with Obi Wan sitting in the desert for 6 episodes staring at Luke. Everything they've done has made perfect sense and fits exactly the way it should. It's always funny to me how 'sacred' the original trilogy is to people when if it aired today or was a new series it would've flopped as absolute garbage in many ways(inconsistent in many ways from episode 4 to 5 to 6 and this is coming from someone who loves the original trilogy... just don't think it was perfect cause I can get past the nostalgia and see it for what it is)
