Neither Macready nor Childs walked away from the camp to freeze In the snow so as soon as another team came and returned the bodies to a lab, that would be the end. Also, Ennio Morricone did the soundtrack to The Untouchables and The Mission (a great period drama with Robert Deniro, Jeremy Irons and Liam Neeson).

Is Child's The Thing because you don't see his breath at the end of the movie? All kinds of debuts with this film. Maybe The thing only needs just a little of whatever it is to put into a person to start to mutant inside the person. It all started with a dog. I want a Husky now π

It's been one of my fave horror movies since forever, because it's not overly leaning to jump scares, but includes a lot of psychological aspects as well. Some comments: - Space Balls spoofed Alien actually! - Resident Evil DEFINITELY takes inspiration from The Thing - as do other board/video games that deal with "impostors", for example Among Us.
