I believe this was lacking a bit in writing. Especially the whole Aethelflaed remaining chaste, felt kinda forced, in order to get everyone where they need to be. To be honest though, i kinda prefer it all in all, to how it happens in the book (as womanizer Uhtred, never sat right with me), but still i believe they could have found a slightly better way forward. Still a strong episode.
