trying something new? and sharing some of my poetry

Thoughts
Why is it that,
every time I try to write,
to out the thoughts that occupy
every crevice of my mind,
that speak loudly
and beg my attention,
the words mute
leaving me....
an empty space.
I only want to do them justice
to let the words speak their mind
for them to become more than just...
ideas.
I mean shouldn't they to want to...
solidify themselves?
become something greater?
Just a moment a ago
I swear I felt them at my fingertips
urging me to get a pen, a computer, a leaf
just something
like they were going to die
If they weren't written down.
Butโฆ
I guess they just aren't ready yet
and though I try
to catch them when I can
I won't force them out
I'm sympathetic
For I know all too well the fear
behind a thought becoming
reality.
