So What Is Disappearing Southend?

Now that we're over that 1k goal, I thought I'd make a quick vlog telling all of you Patrons, roughly, what the process for "Disappearing Southend" (which, by the way, is stil a working title) is going to be, and the sort of topics that I would like to include in the finished video. It's certainly going to be something different from the normal vids that I usually put up! Enjoy.

My auntie lived in Basildon when I was a kid so we would go on holiday once a year to stay with her and my cousins and of course, a day out would always be Southend. I remember one arcade along the sea front I believe where it felt that the whole road was arcades with a, at the back I believe, a hill billy shoot 'em up. Not a computer game but animated models that would shoot water at you if you hit the target. I absolutely loved this and put much money into it!

2017-04-22 20:54:08 +0000 UTCSounds really cool. Taking in seaside entertainment community in general will give you a lot more scope for making things look good. If you end up with a bit of extra about the arcade stuff that doesn't fit in can always release it later as an addendum. Getting an arts grant off the council would certainly be a goer. I thought Duke Nukem Forever was rather underrated. The level design varied wildly in quality but the good bits were enough to make me persevere to the end.
