Weekly Update Post! 18/11/2018

Hello all! Right, even if I'm not exactly the best at doing things on a regular basis when I say I'm going to (hi, Discord folks! Sorry, Discord folks! I will hang out with you a lot more when I have more time in my evenings) I am going to start doing this as a way of keeping all of you updated with what's generally going on in my world. I used to do monthly "the State of Kim" posts aaaages ago but it seems like I can fill them with a lot more stuff now...anyway, let's go!

-In case you don't know, the 2nd episode of Digitiser: The Show airs tonight, and I'm on this one! There's also the likes of Big Boy Barry too, so it's going to be unmissable. -Editing has begun on the next big documentary, which is all about Jonathan "Joffa" Smith - I posted the first interview with Jim Bagley today. Fingers crossed I shall be able to get more over the course of this coming week...if not, then it's no problem. A version of the documentary will be released on YouTube, on November 26th - whether it's the final one remains to be seen, but I want to get interviews with people like Tony Pomfret and Doug Burns if I can. If I can't, I'll still do them and in the end we'll have an "Ultimate" version of the documentary if you will, which will be exclusively here on Patreon. And of course, uncut Interview footage will be posted here as and when it's produced.

-You may have noticed that there hasn't been a Q&A in a while. This is because I've kinda decided that I really want to do them when me and Sophia are together - it's just so much more fun doing it that way, and the next time that's going to happen is in early December. I will post a proper thread for questions to be submitted soon.

-Also, after a lot of thought, I decided (as you may tell) to not go through with doing another Christmas Box this year - time kind of got ahead of me on that one and alas, I don't really have anything particularly special to give aside from, y'know, just a bunch of games. I want it to be a bit better than that - it will return, after more adequate preparation.

-Speaking of games, $20 patrons will have their usual monthly bits sent out this coming week (probably on Thursday) so look for those in the post. Apologies to anyone who might not be recieving them - if you're having any trouble then please let me know.

-As far as public events go, there is one coming up: On December 1st I will be going back to the Centre for Computing History in Cambridge for a quiz night, where I will be on a team with other YouTube people you may know, such as Ashens and Nostalgia Nerd. So if you're around the area and available, do come! It'll be a good time. 

-Hopefully while I'm in Cambridge I'll be also able to sort some stuff out for the video after this one...December's big video, which I can say right now is going to be something that, quite surprisingly, isn't on YouTube right now - a full history and indepth look at Elite...that is, the game and not the software house. This is another quite large undertaking, of course - hopefully it should go well. Some might remember that I mooted the possibility of the Oliver Twins for a big December video - however after giving it some thought and having some input, I've decided not to go down that road for now. This will be a more enjoyable undertaking, and fingers crossed, after some research, we may be able to get some different sides of the story.

-Streaming for the coming week is likely to occur on either Wednesday or Thursday. Ideally I want to get 2 streams in this coming week, as I probably won't be able to do any the week after. I'm thinking about a specific theme, although nothing's springing to mind yet...:)
