Auf Wiedersehen, Pet Review | Another Terrible Spectrum Licensed Game | Kim Justice

Tynesoft, those strange folk responsible for Super Gran, get a license for a show based largely around Geordies abroad. It should be a slam dunk, but instead they manage to create a game so bloody awful, it makes Super Gran look good.

The problem with systems where everyone can write and release a game is anyone can write and release a game I guess.

Dudley of Yesterzine

This really did take me back Christmas 1981, when I got a slew of (mostly awful) games for my TI 99/4a. There were amzing titles such as Parsec, good ones such as Alpiner, and titles that were bizarrely entertaining such as Hunt the Wumpus. As anyone who owned any computer of the day, other than the Apple II or C64 already knows, to find that prince of a game, you had to kiss tens, perhaps hundreds of frogs. So I appreciate reviews such as these that celebrate that search. By the way the prince for the TI was Tunnels of Doom, and the ugliest frog; Tombstone.
