I hope one day you will can visit Alicante, the city I was born. You don't need to live there (in fact for lot of reasons I don't recommend it, haha) but is one of the best places for having fun.
Maybe too hot for rubber, but in summer you have the beach, is a good consolation.

I've been in Barcelona and I loved it. But only for vacations, I don't know if I would like to live there. About the beach, no one can make me love another beach more than the ones on the Costa Blanca ๐คฃ๐คฃ
