Morton doesn't meet Phil by chance. They meet via a craiglist services-type of ad. Phil is just oblivious to whom Morton actually is until he meets her.

2018-09-05 06:21:56 +0000 UTCA kids camp sounds promising, and I very much like all the weight gain talk as well. However, I’m a bit confused of the placement though. Phil said he organized a meeting with Morton, which suggests this is set around the time he first met her, since in the comic where Morton eats Phil, her meeting with him was just a chance encounter. Yet Phil’s absence from seeing Jill in this also suggests it’s set around the time Morton eats Phil.
