i think it´s better if he gets on with the main story and maybe when he catches up do the re-reads and side stories

indeed, the "Lost Chapter" is definitely one of the most interesting bits of lore/worldbiulding and a final bit of character insight for Griffith/Femto(which to be honest is probably the more interesting part), and it definitely still fits into the story we have.
and also, as usual, amazing artwork.
the only reason not to read it(well, besides "Miura said so") would be Daniel's own words from his Eclipse coverage where he said he liked not knowing the details of what Griffith was seeing in the deepest darkest parts of that whole vision thing he had during his transformation.

re-reviewing Black Swordsmen with Golden Age "hindsight" would be interesting.
the Berserk Prototype is interesting to see what ideas did or didn't end up staying in the actual story.

I noticed 2 things that you might find important, Jill isn't hiding f get father from what I remember, but her father's friends, so while he dad is messed up, he's not that messed up. The other thing which I love, is that when guts is being confronted by the towns people, he's thinking to himself how easy it would be to murder them all, until puck stops him

A bunch of people are suggesting to do after Lost Children/Conviction
But then they’re also saying any excuse for more content, if that’s the case I think it would be worth you tackling that now, give your current take (that will already be more developed since your initial read) and then perhaps to do another similar “review” at the end of conviction in the same vein, to reflect how things have changed.
See, more content, everybody wins
Loving your experience with this work so far Daniel.
Arigato!
P.s.
Just realised you’re referring to the “prototype” chapter and not the “omitted” chapter that was never officially “published” but had been distributed online as “pre-lease” content before Miura decided it was “too revealing”.
Not sure how you would feel about seeking out content that sheds a lot of light on what we expect to be part of the grand conclusion to this story.
But in all fairness, anyone who calls themselves a fan of this story has seen this lost chapter and it is very interesting, and gives a lot of context to the nature of the world.
I won’t blame you if you’d rather experience things as Miura seems to have wanted though, so you’re choice ^_^

I feel that you should finish the Lost Children section first and then do a retrospective of The Black Swordsmen. Because I'm always down for more berserk content in any shape or form.

Would definitly enjoy a retrospective review of the Black Swordsmen

It's better if you make a short separate video from the prototype chapter after the arc because it is a really short story and he drew that when he was really young so there is no depth to the story. but it is still a fun read and you should check it out later!

You should check out the prototype chapter, it's really neat. Maybe after Lost Children or Conviction arc? Love your vids.

I think revisiting the black swordsman arc would be pretty cool but you should do it after finishing the conviction arc completely. Checking out the Prototype would also be cool, its a fun read.
