TittyMagic 4 alpha 1
Added 2022-03-23 19:03:42 +0000 UTCThe first alpha version of TittyMagic 4 is out now 😃
The biggest changes you'll notice compared to v3.1 when loading the plugin:
- there is no mode selection
- the plugin now always uses the dynamic morphing from 3.1 animation optimized mode
- there is no gravity/mobility slider - this has been replaced by (somewhat experimental) sliders for adjusting the amount of morphing and the effect of chest angle on physics settings in each direction
Full changelog in the bottom of this post.
Touching the breasts should look much better than before. Breast physics settings have been completely reworked to work optimally with the dynamic morphing, while still looking great for animations and different poses. Try it with different breast sizes and shapes, softness settings and other slider values, in different animations and scenarios, etc. The goal is physics that works well 24/7.
Breast size and the softness slider still form the backbone for calculating physics settings and breast behavior in general. The new morphing and gravity physics sliders can be used to tweak the behavior.

Since this is very much a work in progress, anything can still change and not everything necessarily works perfectly. There's a lot of work to be done before version 4 can be considered both feature complete and stable.
Please let me hear any thoughts you have about what could be improved, changed or added, what doesn't work well, bugs you're experiencing - anything that might help me figure out the most important things to focus on in the next releases. The alpha stage is an excellent chance for you to impact the development of this plugin for the benefit of everybody! 👍
What's next?
A few of the things being planned:
I'll add a slider to adjust the amount of breast "quickness" or amount of jiggle - this will allow any intermediate value between the current physics and physics that's more like 3.1 animation optimized mode. The current physics are noticeably slower, this helps make the natural touch physics work. Therefore, there's a possibility though that a high "quickness" value will make breasts more rigid when touched - but I'll try to get the high quickness to work as well as possible with collision, so that there's as little a tradeoff as possible. I intend to have all customization options in TittyMagic 4 be simply preferences rather than things you'd have to adjust per situation or type of scene.
I'm also considering adding an override for breast mass, so that you can set it manually and the plugin will then recalibrate physics based on the new value. This would allow for breasts that behave as if they were heavier or lighter than their size would indicate. The calculation of breast volume and the conversion of that volume to mass is purely an estimate anyway and not an exact science, so there's definitely leeway there for personal preferences.
Basic futa compatibility will be finalized. Since futa characters don't have soft physics, it will rely on chest angle to apply morphs, similar to 3.1 Balanced mode.
Some known issues
- small and very soft breasts don't really morph enough when leaning back/forward - this is being cause by the low mass, there's just not enough mass for the current depth morphing logic to work on
- breasts will sometimes jump a bit as if resetting position, e.g. every few minutes - you may or may not notice it
- collision from certain angles (like from the side of the ribs and diagonally up) can make breasts to move suddenly instead of smoothly, there's probably some collider that is neither a soft physics collider (breast fat) nor the actual breast collider (since hard colliders are off)
- disabling and enabling the plugin doesn't initialize physics settings correctly if they have been modified when the plugin was disabled
Main changes since 3.1.6
Modes are removed
- instead there is a single mode which combines the best of the previous touch and animation optimized modes
- morphing is always done based on forces instead of chest angle (no Balanced mode / v2 style morphing)
Full rework of physics settings
- physics settings thoroughly tweaked to work optimally with collision + dynamic morphing for all breast sizes and all softness settings
- breast mass is reduced a bit in lower end of breast sizes
- the default magnitudes of up/down and left/right target angles are increased to result in a more realistic feeling of weight for the given breast size/mass
Other
- the default amount of morphing is increased to help with touch physics - you should see more droop when upside down and leaning in different direction
- gravity slider is gone: replaced by sliders to configure the amount of morphing and effect of chest angle on physics settings in each direction
- having soft physics enabled is no longer a strict requirement, but disabling it will prevent dynamic morphing
- low softness setting no longer directly limits the amount of dynamic morphing, instead it just makes breasts firmer which in turn automatically limits the amount of dynamic morphing
Comments
Found the error, the detection of changes in breast morphs is currently broken. Will package up a fix tomorrow :) In the meantime, reload/re-add the plugin and uncheck the Auto-recalibrate checkbox immediately afterwards to prevent the plugin from reacting to changes in breast morphs.

2022-03-24 21:37:49 +0000 UTCI checked, and yeah, the freeze button doesn't unselect. Also, it looks like the problem has to do with updating the physics. Even after manually selecting recalculate physics, the estimated weight doesn't change. (quick edit--this isn't a problem with the scene I sent you, but it does appear to be an issue when there's more than one model in a scene. I still have to both reset the physics manually and uncheck the freeze box, though.) I'll pm you a scene that's giving me trouble, but this is a pretty widespread error on my end. I'm REALLY hoping I don't have to do a clean build.

2022-03-24 19:14:24 +0000 UTCHi, is the Freeze box checked in the menu bar? The plugin checks it and freezes animation while it recalculates physics settings, and if something goes wrong during that, it's possible that it stays checked in which case you have to manually uncheck it. Also, if the plugin is causing freezes for no apparent reason, try unchecking the "Auto-recalibrate when size changed" box in the plugin UI. This makes it compatible with other plugins that might be animating morphs in a way that makes TittyMagic think there's been a change in breast size and that physics settings need to be recalculated. I'll try to improve the recalibration logic to make it more consistent and less prone to error. But it's not always clear what the issues are that need fixing when I haven't had those issues myself. If you could share the scene where you're having issues with the plugin, that'd be great! (PM via Patreon, Discord and the Hub are all ok)

2022-03-24 17:41:07 +0000 UTCOkay, so I tested tittymagic on the model scene I got one of the presets from, and I got the same problem. Touching the sliders at all instantly causes all animation to freeze. Not the physics, though. And there's no other plugins on the model itself. If you want, I can package the model scene with all its presets and send it to you so you can try to figure out what's causing the issue.

2022-03-24 17:06:47 +0000 UTCSorry for being unclear, a lot of what goes on under the hood of VAM is unclear to me. What I meant is that all animations are frozen, and don't restart, even when loading a new scene. I tested out the plugin on the basic 3 point model scene, and it did work fine; but loading custom presets in that same scene would cause the problem. But not all the time. Just some of the presets caused the animations to freeze.

2022-03-24 16:54:33 +0000 UTCHi, what do you mean by pose animations, do you mean the morph animations done by the plugin? And "lock up" = morphs are not being adjusted? Can you test if it happens in a simple scene with just one person atom and no additional plugins on the person? If anyone else has the same issue, please let me know.

2022-03-24 14:34:35 +0000 UTCI'm having a pretty major problem with the new version. If I so much as touch any of the sliders, the pose animations lock up and don't restart like they did on previous versions. I have to completely reset VAM to fix the problem.
