Physics issues in Naturalis v1.2-beta4
Added 2023-11-23 11:18:21 +0000 UTCHi,
There's an issue with high softness values in TittyMagic where the breast will jitter or shake on its own. This seems to be connected to the joint's rotation limit - when the current angle is near the limit, it's as if the joint isn't sure what value to settle on and just keeps oscillating back and forth. In theory this could happen with VAM's default joint limits as well in some circumstances.
Besides adjusting the limits, it turns out that enabling High Quality Physics neutralizes the issue. High Quality Physics means 5x more "solver iterations" which determines the accuracy of joint physics and collisions. From Unity documentation:
If you are having trouble with connected Rigidbodies oscillating and behaving erratically setting a higher solver iteration count may improve their stability (but is slower).
It's unfortunate that the solver iteration count can't be set to any arbitrary value. Values like 2 or 3 might also fix the issue but not cost as much performance. There's probably a plugin in there!
In addition, rotation spring and rotation damper can mitigate the issue, but those will obviously have an effect to the joint's overall behavior.
Given the performance cost of High Quality Physics, I don't want to force that setting on when using Naturalis. So it's necessary to take another look at the physics defaults and figure out new default values that don't cause the jittering at any softness setting.
The defaults could probably use some fine tuning anyway. The biggest issue I see is the lowered rotation spring - it makes sense for large and soft breasts that spring is lower than before, but I lowered it across the board and it doesn't look as good as the previous spring value at the default 70 softness. Increasing spring helps mitigate the issue where breasts look a bit too swingy/floaty, but fine tuning the limits and perhaps increasing the downward gravity will also help in that regard.

Hi. - Does reloading the plugin fix it? - Does toggling collision off and on on the person atom fix it? - How to reproduce the issue - can you reproduce it in some simple scene with nothing but the person atom and Naturalis? - Can you send a test scene where the issue occurs?

2023-12-03 07:54:24 +0000 UTCHi, this plugin is definitely the best plugin that I am having so far as I mentioned it. However for ver. 48, I am sure am I the only one is having this which fingers or object can get through the breast which has been fixed previously. Also the breasts would be like getting higher, and jumping itself and get out of the clothes sometime. Not sure if this is happening to me only due to the other plugins that I am using, but ver.47 has no such issues.

2023-12-03 03:27:05 +0000 UTCwhat kind of CPU are you using with those settings? i've got a 5800x3d and i usually have to stick with 90hz and update cap 3.

2023-11-24 00:36:09 +0000 UTCI've been using High Quality Physics with 120Hz and update cap 3 ever since my major hardware upgrade earlier in the year. As a result I do still often need to turn Soft Glute Physics off for things like VMD animations, or other intensive plugins (CelShader), but I can't go back! I still often use only 1 model, in VR or desktop, unless I'm tuning a modest male-atom-possession VR sex scene...but that one model always be bouncing so nice. It's always worth it trying to custom tune TittyMagic nowadays because when it works just so, it's frankly amazing in both looks and interactivity. Lately I find I get a lot of value out of custom Hard Collider parameter adjustments, but I'm still futzing about the standard TM physics tab a lot too, with practically every setting (appreciate the recent notice on Down Angle Limiter adjustments). Working in the clothing physics tab has also been really great to rein in bigguns for dances.
