Boys Planet Episode 1

Bahaha why'd I look so rough by the end?!?!   Half my makeup was gone

If you have the time the PR videos are a lot of fun ! For the other videos I would mostly recommend compilations of funny moments because they're a tad repetitive after a while ^^;

I'll definitely check out his story!! I curious to know if I'm gonna get a bias! I can already see the mnet drama starting....I'm happy to hear the a lot of the trainees get along

Ahhhhh....that makes so much sense! I wasn't aware that they had released early videos about the boys before hand! I think I prefer watching it completely blind but let me know if there is anything you think that I should watch before continuing on!!!

The fancams were not the only thing out pre-show though, and not the most interesting actually. The 1-minute PR vids were excellent and a nice glimpse into the trainees' personalities, plus we had the cocktail videos, the duo vids with the staring contest, the pedometer contest, and the mystery box. Everyone already had about 10 minutes of videos out by the time the show started.

Besides official episodes you can find behind the scenes and interviews,training videos of boys planet on youtube. Mnet tried so hard to create a drama but I watched behinds and this boys are funny and close with eo. Even after elimination some trainees tried to protect victims of mnets evil editing. My biases on this show are Kim Jiwoong(not because of his bl dramas,but because of his personality,I love him and I’m so sad because of his past,if you have time you can check thread from reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/kpopthoughts/comments/11t0iqx/the_sad_truth_behind_the_kpop_industry_kim/),Kim Taerae(vocals tho) and Park Gunwook(the first guy from jellyfish,he’s so soft and mnet:he’s scary,hate him). I love other trainees too. Especially Sung Hanbin(waaking)-actually I wasn’t in love with him until I discovered his “Call me mother” performance https://youtu.be/PVokh8teo80

They started voting this early because mnet already released signal song and fancams. We watched fancams and picked our favourites then voted on mnet+. Signal song is a first mission. You can watch this performance rn,but I don’t recommend it if you don’t want spoilers,cuz centre is a huge spoiler. Watch it after 3rd episode. Mnet definitely has favourites. They had favourites in produce,iland,swf and etc. I was okay with it but in boys planet they evil edited global team so much,I hate mnet. I’m not surprised that even trainees was so frustrated. Mnet destroyed some trainees career in sk. I’m not gonna spoil,just be aware:not every g group trainee is a trash

Thank you for answering my questions! I'll be sure to check for that button to turn off the comments next time because that was hella annoying! I can kind of see where mnet is going to take this show editing wise but I would expect nothing less from a survival show. I know they are going to edit the show however they see fit to draw the most views/drama. But that certainly does not negate the talent of these boys! Bigger screen! Got it! Thank you so much for your comment!

I can help answer some questions! So, I think there's a button at the top right where you can turn off the timed comments. From what I remember some of these groups didn't get to pick their song or were made to change them last minute, hence some of them were way rougher than their actual skills (I remember this happening more often to the G Group trainees but let's not get into that...). Pentagon didn't disband they're just in a weird flux with members coming in and out of the military, so it feels like Hui is doing this to help promote Pentagon to a wider audience. As to why some name tags and stars were blurred, they were showing performances out of order, so Jellyfish didn't actually go first, and they were making sure they didn't spoil any of the placements. I feel like they probably didn't know quite what order they were going to be in, which is why even after they performed the Jellyfish trainees were still blurred out at times. Just kinda funny to me. And yeah, Mnet definitely has favorites. I felt so bad for Kamden during his audition because it felt like they were purposely angling the shots so he'd be covered by Jay as if they wished it was a solo audition. Which sucks even more when you remember that he was really good too, the boy got three stars! As for the format, I think I generally prefer the video smaller in the corner so that we can see the entire screen. Keep up the good work! (If you had any other questions I didn't answer and you'd like me too, just let me know, I'll do my best! Sometimes it's hard to remember them all during long videos haha)
