I think a big part of it is that IU just likes these songs. She also got to work with some of the original artists - she filmed a teaser for the album with Kim Wan Sun, and Kim Chang Wan and Clon are featured on their respective songs. The "Flower" live is from before the album was released, at a memorial concert. I actually requested "Pierrot Laughs at Us" for a feature friday a long time ago, around when Le Sserafim sampled Kim Wan Sun's version in their song. I don't think I would have guessed that "Meaning of You" would be your favorite! It's still on IU's concert setlists and is a frequent choice for the pre-en-encore audience singalong. In the 2024 Sangam concert IU sang "Dreams in Summer Night" as an encore which made it into the theatrical version. I expect that they'll release a blu-ray of it this year. The final song "Uhuya Doongi Doongi" was only released on vinyl so the audio track you heard is actually a rip from that.
