2025-09-30 15:42:12 +0000 UTCThe old school hosts and PDs, used to say JYPE groups or idols are not good on variety. Because JYPE teaches humility, sincerity, and honesty as the 3 top priorities. Variety show hosts and PDs try to get something controversial or get them to display an inflated ego or something like this to make it "Interesting" but JYPE idols never go for those things. No fake personas. The tide turned when the public started to love and relate to just pure honest and refreshing personalities. ITZY's first real variety appearance was on IDOL room and the hosts there are kind of asses, and said before hand and maybe afterwards, that ITZY wasn't particularly funny. Personally I think that show was hilarious, it's just the hosts themselves think they are funnier than they are and not everyone "gets" them or can relate to their gags. ITZY took their remarks personally and really tried to work on their variety skills, until the point they just said "nah, we are best when we are being ourselves" and ever since then, authentic ITZY is tearing it up on shows.
