Recently, WuWa implemented a problematic hotfix that caused widespread texture issues for all MODs—textures only display correctly when close to the character, and switching maps resets the issue. For playable characters, this could still be mitigated via XXMI settings. However, after extensive testing, I found that for NPCs, it’s nearly impossible to fully resolve this issue using XXMI parameters alone.
Since NPCs serve as visual background elements, this bug renders any further NPC MOD creation meaningless if left unaddressed. Therefore, I spent time modifying the configuration files and adopted a slot texture solution — the issue has now been resolved.with no texture corruption or added delay.
However, as a trade-off, some NPCs may lose certain outline details, or have outlines with slightly different colors from the original models.
Regardless, this is currently the best solution available.
