Were British Guys Impressed by Justin Fields (Blocked YouTube Video)
Added 2023-09-02 14:00:05 +0000 UTCOne of the ones we were unable to get onto YouTube. The NFL knew it was too good π This was an unexpected watch of a very different kind of QB. Not sure weβd seen anything quite like this before, even having watched some Lamar clips. Let us know your comments on this one and what you expect from Justin Fields this season!

2023-09-05 18:44:32 +0000 UTCDo you think he can add the throwing game to his arsenal and be a top QB?

2023-09-05 00:03:26 +0000 UTCYou're right to reserve judgement on Fields. We know he's a phenomenal athlete, but that's ALL we know to start this 2023 season. Here are the givens: 1. Poor pass protection by OL. Mediocre/poor blitz protection by RB's. Kinda hard to judge how a QB is reading his progressions when he's running for his goddamned life after a second or two. 2. Poor WR's. Yes, notice how the highlights show wide-open WR's. There's a reason for that. What you won't see on Fields' highlight reel are every pass that hit a Bear WR in the hands, only for them to drop it. You won't see all the poor, lazy route-running by the WR's either. You won't see Fields throw into double-coverage, or a closed window that gets easily picked off. But with the game flowing through Fields as essentially a one-man-gang (Hello Walter Payton!) the defense slowly begins to lose respect for the WR's, loading up to stop the Bears' only means of moving the ball. Hence all the "wide open" receivers in games where the Bears are already down 14 points or more. Were the Bears bad because Justin Fields sucks at reading the field? Yes. Were they bad because they had a poor roster, poor, protection, and poor targets, setting Fields up for failure? Also yes. Are the Bears historically bad at building a team with a champion-caliber QB at the helm? History says yes. Does that mean that Fields has a low-percentage shot of ever becoming good? Also yes. That's the weird part of being a Bears fan. We don't know what we don't know... but what we end up learning is almost always terrible.

2023-09-04 21:31:25 +0000 UTCa lot of potential with him but he's not there yet. he ran for over 1000 yards but as a passer he needs to improve this season in order to be seen as a "franchise QB" which every franchise wants and only maybe 10-15 teams have

2023-09-04 19:59:14 +0000 UTCgood runner but idk if he can actually lead a offense. really hasnβt shown any ability to pass consistently in the nfl
Jackson Tucker
2023-09-03 18:30:29 +0000 UTCI think you mean overhated

2023-09-03 05:17:25 +0000 UTCAs a Packer fan, rushing quarterbacks have been our demise over the last 10 years. The Bears added two top 10 middle linebackers this offseason, so it'll be interesting to see the new era of the Packers/Bears rivalry blossom week one. As a side note, Justin Fields is the most overrated quarterback in the NFL.

2023-09-03 04:06:05 +0000 UTCI donβt know if it would be blocked on YouTube. But you guys should react the the colorado tcu game highlights from today crazy game colorado was over a 20 point underdog. I know this is Justin fields video itβs just the recent post so I put it here lol

2023-09-02 22:33:22 +0000 UTCHe's 3 years in and his offensive line wasn't that strong so his improvisation was in a lot of cases necessary. Also the game is evolving so these more mobile quarterbacks are necessary. I played defensive end and outside linebacker and this dude would absolutely give me nightmares. I'm pretty sure he'll be just fine.

2023-09-02 21:26:16 +0000 UTCA good compliment to this video is 22-23 Bears offensive line lowlights

Damon Richmond
2023-09-02 19:27:23 +0000 UTCHe's young (entering 3rd season) and needs to improve in the passing game specifically reading the D and anticipating throws but absolutely showed growth throwing the ball last year. He wasn't known as a runner in college, he was a pocket QB so there's a lot of hope.

2023-09-02 17:21:44 +0000 UTCOne thing that you have to keep in mind is that often the Line will be at fault for pressure on the QB, but it can also be the QBs fault. Some QBs hold the ball too long, don't want to throw short passes or scramble around hoping someone will eventually get open. QBs all need to have an internal clock: About 3 seconds, then the ball needs to come out. That's all the time the O-Line can give you.

2023-09-02 16:16:37 +0000 UTCIf you think that's impressive, wait until you see Trevor Lawrence.

2023-09-02 14:38:37 +0000 UTCI think you guys should watch videos of in game strategy. I know you're new to it but you miss the value of the skill set of a Qb who can move. When all your receivers are being covered, you run. Even a good O- line is only expected to block for a few seconds.
