Great reaction! I cry every time. I'm not sure if anyone else pointed out that the "Vince Vaughn look-a-like" was in fact a young Vince Vaughn!

2024-04-01 10:39:46 +0000 UTCThanks for watching! (Again ๐) and for filling in some gaps for us! Itโs a lot harder to get Damo to show emotion ๐ I just get so invested in the characters I feel like Iโm experiencing the journey with them, I was so happy at the end that I couldnโt hold back. It was perfectly written and executed and it got me good!

2024-04-01 10:33:48 +0000 UTCThis is an amazing comment! Thank you so much for sharing. I hope this brought back great memories of your dad and his love for Notre Dame. We did love it, I got choked up at the end (Nick) and could barely speak ๐ absolutely loved it!

2024-04-01 02:05:42 +0000 UTCI've rewatched with you guys twice now. Lol. So great to see ya'll enjoy this for the first time. Couple things missed - the groundskeeper did actually offer Rudy minimum wage pay on the initial meeting so he wasn't working for free. Also, Rudy claimed he played cornerback, not quarterback, in high school. Still would be suprising he could lead the team in tackles at that position. Anyway, what a joy. Thanks for doing this. Even better that you were able to watch after all the studying you've done on the game. Without it imagine how confusing it would be for Vince Vaughn's character to score a TD for Rudy if you didn't know he played defense XD Damo - Can't believe you didn't at least well up. I cry ever damn time watching it. Props to Nick! Lolol

2024-04-01 01:12:41 +0000 UTCGlad you both enjoyed the film. It definitely can be a tear jerker. The film also does do a good job of illustrating why college football is as big as it is in the USA. The traditions are passed down from generation to generation. I watched Michigan football religiously as a kid only because of my dad, and that's where I ended up going to school. While the NFL has it's own types of traditions they just do not come close to capturing the same magic and emotion as college football does.

2024-03-31 14:59:47 +0000 UTCThis is one of the few movies where the manliest of men is allowed to go to pieces in tears and still retain his man card.

2024-03-31 04:11:25 +0000 UTCLoved the reaction. Been a while since I saw this film and it was nice to revisit. So that actor you kept saying looks like Vince Vaughn. It's because it is Vince Vaughn. D-Bob is played by Jon Favreau. Those two became good friends from this movie and went on to make a bunch of films together. You should watch Swingers (1996) if you haven't seen it already.

2024-03-31 02:04:43 +0000 UTCWell done. Wow. I havenโt watched this movie for years. And even though I knew the outcome, it was fun to experience the emotion with you guys. You can see why it got so many votes.

2024-03-30 23:43:29 +0000 UTCI love this movie despite disliking Notre Dame (I'm not religious and they often play teams I like). This movie has one of the best soundtracks of all time, hands down. The Catholics sure do go wild for this movie as well ๐ Nick's reaction at the end was perfect by the way, that's exactly how someone should be at the end of this movie haha

2024-03-30 20:30:09 +0000 UTCIโm so excited to watch this with you guys! Makes me think of my dad, who loved Notre Dame so much. Growing up in an Irish Catholic family, Notre Dame was the only team that existed in our house. He had a buddy from the Marine Corps who was a Michigan fan, and every year heโd come over just to watch these two teams play against each other. Way back in the day when football was a new sport, Michigan taught Notre Dame how to play the game. Long story short, a huge rivalry emerged between the two universities and Michigan is the original reason Notre Dame was never in a conference. Anyway, thinking about my dad and this football team and going to see this movie with him and my brother in the theater has actually got me a little choked up. ๐ข I hope you two love this film. It truly illustrates the love Americans have for college football ( not just Notre Dame), and the traditions, history and familial connections that are formed through following our favorite teams.
