At the end of episode 6 Buddy Garrity comes to the Taylor’s house and gets Coach out of bed to explain: “…Voodoo is gone. He’s gone back to Louisiana. They reopened his school; he’s gone; he’s history […] before he left he was interviewed by that reporter woman, that Helen Stark. And he told her that he had lived here two weeks, and that he was recruited, and now there’s documentation, and so my buddy, Forest Aiken, he can’t help us out. Arnett Mead? It’s a forfeit. It’s a loss. Yeah, the season is over. Or it could be over…” I guess Voodoo is able to play for West Cambria because he properly moved and lived there for the required time and wasn’t illegally recruited.

2024-04-23 23:11:33 +0000 UTCGreat episode! Damo hit it on the head with why Voodoo never went to the press. He could either go back to Louisiana and spill the beans on Dillon, or play for this other team in Texas and keep his mouth shut. I think “Embrace the Suck” is a sort of motto from one of the US Special Forces as they go through training and qualifications. The ending is tough, as they keep cutting back between the game and Tyra. You want to root for Dillon but what’s happening to Tyra is so much more important. Very good job by the writers or editors or whoever made that choice.
