I had to weigh in on the subject of ovens!! I just spent two weeks in England, one at a rental apartment in Gorleston in Norfolk and the second in Bolingey near Perranporth in Cornwall. The oven in Gorleston was a complete mystery to me!! I could not figure out for the life of me what all the buttons meant! I completely gave up on even attempting to bake a few loves of baguettes (the ones that come "partially baked!") So yeah, huge difference between American and British ovens! In the US, its just on and turn the dial to desired heat level, period! (and chose bake vs broil). Easy peasy!

The actress who plays Barbara, is (or was) in the show Ghosts. She was awkward and hilarious in that also.

Came here to say this. What are your other top three?

Christina H

One of the top 3 episodes of the entire series.

I know it's such a small scene, but seeing Jamie’s dad in rehab (and his absolute pride in his son) always brings a tear to my eyes.

I love that you are genuinely interested in the arcs and callbacks. I just started the video and had to pause before you actually started the episode to weigh in on the topic of Jamie’s mom. In Season One, the last time Jamie was with the team before going to Manchester was during the bonfire to remove “the curse” of the training room. Every player had to bring something meaningful to sacrifice. Jamie arrived late (after saying he wasn’t going to go) and brought a pair of boots. He said they weren’t his first, but they represented the fact that his mom had always been supportive of him since he was young - “sexy little baby”. (His dad had already left.) He said she just wanted him to be “a good lad”, and he recognized that he had probably disappointed her in that respect. He also noted that once he got good, then dad started coming around and yelling at him not to be soft and weak, setting up the juxtaposition between his parents and unconditional vs conditional love.
