I'm super late getting to this as I just recently got on their Patreon, but the oral history of this show is well worth a read. Taylor Kitsch, as you said, was a hockey player from Canada, and one of the things he did when he taped his audition to send in was tracking down Lone Star beer, and drinking it in the audition (I think; it's been a while since I read it, but I'm 99.9% sure that's what he did) to fully embody Riggins. He was also Gambit in the terrible, horrible X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie; people kept trying to make him a star after FNL, but it just hasn't worked out yet. Obviously there's still time for a career renaissance, and I hope it happens. He's so good in this show.

2024-10-10 20:23:09 +0000 UTCJesse Plemons (watch guy/Landry), probably has some of the more well known roles, but Zach Gilford (Matt Saracen) also has a lot of credits to his name. He currently plays a serial killer on a US show and he's worked on things like Midnight Mass. He's usually the main character in whatever he does. Also Taylor Kitsch (Riggins) was a lead in True Detective and has had lots of work. Fun Fact, he's Canadian and played hockey at a high level until he got too badly injured to continue. I almost forgot about "Mr.s Coach (Connie Britton), she is in so many TV shows here and she is always perfect. She's probably more well known than Plemons here. Sorry for the rant. Love the channel!
