West Side Story is a musical that takes place in the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City. It's a modern take on Romeo and Juliet where there's a romance that takes place on opposite sides of a gang feud. Landry's referencing the Dillon and Laribee teams as the Sharks and Jets which are the names of the gangs in the musical.
