2025-07-22 01:23:48 +0000 UTCScenes like this one with Jim and Michael really show the shift in Michaels writing from season 1. He's still Michael but there's another layer there now. This show was incredible at taking an absolutely absurd comedy and cast of characters and mixing in very good serious emotional moments. Back when this came out it was extremely refreshing compared to the laugh track Big Bang Theory sitcom format.
