Also, I love free agency. I never fault a player for leaving and taking the most money they can get. These guys can have really short careers and have lifelong ailments from this sport.

2024-08-06 06:35:06 +0000 UTCOn Brian Burns: he's a pass rusher (DE) not a running back. From what I know he's not absolute top tier (yet), but he's young and consistently good. DE is a premium position, so that's how he ended up with five years 150 million, 87.5 million guaranteed. People generally think that the Panthers should either have paid him or traded him a year or two earlier. They got a second and a fifth from the Giants and had turned down two firsts and a second from the Rams two years ago, and multiple offers with a first and some extras last year.
