For starters: Frieren= being/feeling cold Himmel=sky/heaven Eisen=iron Heiter=cheerful Fern=distant Ewig=eternal/forever Also: you probably noticed that time is very important in the show. Therefore there are many little things. For example maybe you noticed that the shopkeeper(the one she asks for the horn) in frierens time montage shows up twice. Once young once old
