Emilia not understanding that Ryuzu is a 400 years old clone is like a running joke in second season :) She tried to ask before the first trial when she saw 2 Ryuzu's for the first time, and Subaru was like "oh this is actually kind of confusing, we'll explain it to you later"

2024-07-28 22:58:01 +0000 UTCone last thing lol, echidna's reasoning for hating emilia is definitely not for shallow reasons like "subaru loving her" or " because she completed the two trials really fast", there's definitelyy something waaay deeper in play here and i genuinely can't wait to know what it is! also another important thing, emilia has never looked at her reflection in like the past 7 years. puck made that a rule in their contract because he doesn't want her to overthink her looks too much (since she looks like the witch)! he used to styles her hair for her and even picked her outfits too

2024-07-28 19:59:04 +0000 UTCpart 2 to the comment i just posted! puck was never dead, breaking the contract doesn't mean death, it only means that he doesn't have enough mana to materialize., he used to materialize for way longer because emilia's mana pool is very very huge, even bigger than roswaal's! it's why she didn't die when she was in the crystal frozen, her body had enough mana to run for a hundred years. the reason he can materialize now is because in episode 16, subaru stabbed garfiel with the mana stone he went into after breaking his contract with emilia. when he stabbed him while in his beast form, he sucked garfiel's mana and made him revert back into his human self, it's why garfiel seemed more weaker! so using the mana he got from garfiel's beast form, he materialized into the real world to help ram! another fun fact that isn't mentioned in the anime for some reason, emilia is considered a spirit's art user, meaning she used her contracts with lesser spirits and borrowed their power, but now that she finally fully recalls her past, she can now use magic on her own without spirits! so she's way more powerful now yippee

2024-07-28 19:49:06 +0000 UTCPLS READ !! i'll explain ram and roswaal's situation without spoilers! this is something the anime made confusing and is kinda hard to follow if you don't already know the context. roswaal is NOT one of the witch cultists who destroyed rem and ram's village, but only knew about it from his book beforehand and allowed it to happen. i literally have no idea why the translation worded it like he was part of the witch's cult... but anyways, he allowed it to happen because the book basically told him that he'd get a valuable pawn (ram) out of letting the whole ordeal play out. young ram despised him, having no choice but to swear loyalty to someone that had the power to stop the destruction of their homeland but chose not to. roswaal and ram made a vow where if the world stops going according to what the gospel tells him ( meaning something the gospel didn't predict happening, like emilia's death for example), he will give himself up to ram and she'd do with him whatever she pleased. so the vow would be giving himself to ram if the world ever diverted from the gospel but he will be giving himself up as an empty husk, since he loses all interest in the world if it isn't going according to the gospel. he loses the will to live and sees it meaningless to continue because he knows subaru can loop and "another him" will do better basically, which is very insane behavior honestly.
